GEL Mouzakiou within the Erasmus program in which he participates visited Ronzava, Slovakia from Saturday 19/3 to Saturday 26/3/2022. In the program entitled “Memory of Europe: Historical intersections and their message for the contemporary generation”, our students had the opportunity to talk, meet and collaborate with students from Poland, Slovakia and Italy. They all worked together in groups to create works (such as board games, documentaries, songs, poems) in order to better understand the conditions experienced by our European during World War II. In this context, they traveled, saw and got acquainted with relevant historical monuments of the region, in addition to their contact with the different culture of different peoples and states. At the same time, the history teachers of the four countries have created common lesson plans which will be implemented in the classrooms of all countries.

Our students and their teachers returned full of experiences, acquaintances, comparisons but mainly with the deep awareness that we all belong to something bigger than our city or our state with a common past, common present and mainly common future without repeating the mistakes of the past
